VVibraRays

How it works

A real-time camera-to-display pipeline

VibraRays is being designed around a pipeline that captures the physical environment, transforms its appearance, and presents the modified view with minimal delay — while the world itself stays the basis of the experience.

V1 Development Architecture
  1. 1

    Real world

You look at your actual surroundings — the same street, room or shoreline.

  2. 2

    Stereo capture

Forward-facing cameras capture the scene for each eye.

  3. 3

    Image processing

A low-latency pipeline analyzes and adjusts color, light and contrast.

  4. 4

    VibraRays mode

Your chosen mode applies its signature transformation.

  5. 5

    Display

The transformed view is presented through the eyewear displays.

  6. 6

    Your view

You see the same world — extraordinarily vibrant.

What VibraRays does — and doesn't — do

It does

  • • Amplify color, light, contrast and atmosphere
  • • Keep the real geometry of your surroundings intact
  • • Let you switch modes and intensity in real time
  • • Return to a neutral view instantly (safety view)

It doesn't

  • • Replace the world with a virtual environment
  • • Invent scenery or hallucinate objects
  • • Make medical or vision-correction claims
  • • Require the internet to change your view

Semantic transforms (recoloring sky, water or foliage independently) are future capability and are not represented as operational today.
